Steward's Report
Alpha David was slow to begin. Jasmine Lilly was quick to begin. Penultimate crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking Allen Lottery, One For Liam, Saint Oaks and Destini Surfer. Destini Surfer and Penultimate collided on the first turn, checking Saint Oaks, One For Liam and Alpha David. One For Liam contacted the running rail on the second turn and lost considerable ground as a result. Jasmine Lilly and Allen Lottery collided approaching the third turn. Alpha David checked off Destini Surfer approaching the home turn. Saint Oaks cramped in the home straight.
Saint Oaks was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained cramp, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
One For Liam was vetted and after being re-vetted following event nine, it was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to the left hock, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
A sample was taken from Dublin Bull - the winner of the event.
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Cameron, the trainer of the greyhound Saint Oaks. Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
