Uncle Bump, Kraken Ridge and Bennelong collided approaching the first turn, checking Uncle Bump and Kraken Ridge. Bennelong checked off Rorter on the first turn. Kraken Ridge checked off Rorter on the home turn, checking Uncle Bump. Rorter, Uncle Bump and Kraken Ridge collided approaching the winning post. 

Can You was vetted and revetted following event four. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Mr P.Ellis trainer of Hammer Hawk declared a new weight of 33.0kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Hammer Hawk last raced at 31.8kg.

Stewards spoke to Mr. M Gibbons regarding the direction that the greyhound Crackerjack Ken be boxed first. Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.

Crackerjack Ken, Pica Up, Hammer Hawke and Rick Grimes were slow to begin. Donkey Tron checked off Stylish Chief soon after the start, checking Pica Up. Hammer Hawke checked off Stylish Chief approaching the first turn, checking Donkey Tron and Pica Up. Donkey Tron and Hammer Hawke colided entering the home straight. Bear Magic was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right back muscle, a twenty-eight day stand down period was imposed.
