Stewards spoke to Ms L Allen, handler of the greyhound Silver Ferrari which had not raced since 8 April 2016. Ms Allen stated that the greyhound was new to the kennel and had been spelling.

Wasabi Princess was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained minor lacerations to the right hind leg and showed signs of Post Exercise Distress Syndrome (PEDS), no stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. R. Busuttil the trainer of Wasabi Princess and advised her that acting in accordance with GAR 74 Stewards directed that Wasabi Princess must perform a satisfactory trial all tracks before any future nomination will be accepted.

Stewards spoke to Mr R Boyce, trainer of the greyhound Cosmic Jewel which had not raced since 17 March 2016. Mr Boyce stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after an achilles injury and also being in season.

Lakeview Luke trialled over 395 metres from box 7, weight 32.2kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 23.43 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 5.5 lengths.  Lakeview Luke was cleared.
