Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Spring Kitty.
Tills Henry, Xavier's Mate and Vista King collided soon after the start, checking all three greyhounds. Brazen Blue and Outlaw Clyde collided soon after the start. Spring Kitty and Brazen Blue collided approaching the first turn, checking Spring Kitty and Outlaw Clyde. Xavier's Mate and Vista King collided approaching the first turn. Outlaw Clyde, Xavier's Mate and Vista King collided on the first turn, severely checking Xavier's Mate. Crymelon Fettle crossed to the inside on the first turn, checking Iceni Arrow. Spring Kitty, Vista King and Iceni Arrow collided approaching the home turn. Spring Kitty and Vista King collided on the home turn and again in the home straight.
Xavier's Mate was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Subsequent to the ‘All Clear’ being given, Trainers – Corey Grenfell (Xavier’s Mate) and Jason Thomson (Tills Henry) approached Stewards regarding aspects at the start prior to the green light being activated. After taking evidence from Trainer - Mr J.Thomson, Club Manager – Mr Justin Brilliant and Starter – Mr Nick Bergen, Stewards took no action other than to remind Mr Bergen of his responsibilities when in similar circumstances.
