Tee Jay Cee was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right shoulder joint.  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.  Due to the treatment this greyhound required following the event, the sample requested by the stewards was cancelled.

El Gran Camino was quick to begin.  Can't Believe It, Candy Rose and Reminator were slow to begin.  Guard Your Path and Motors Too Fast collided on the first turn checking Motors Too Fast.  Santana checked off Reminator on the first turn.  Order In Line and Santana collided approaching the home turn.  Can't Believe It checked off Guard Your Path approaching the home turn.  Can't Believe It and Candy Rose collided on the home turn.  Guard Your Path clipped the heels of El Gran Camino on the home turn.

Two Seasons was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to its left hind foot.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Bubble Head was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 11, it was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. A. Julian, the representative of the greyhound Bubble Head.  Stewards deemed the performance of Bubble Head unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Bubble Head must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Mr. P. Colthup, trainer of Key Largo Prince declared a new weight of 33.3kgs in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Key Largo Prince last raced at 31.8kgs.

Gotta Rush and Cowboy Jury collided approaching the first turn.  Key Largo Prince faltered approaching the first turn and tailed off as a result.

Key Largo Prince was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its left triangle muscle.  A 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Pictures Of Me was quick to begin.  Dashing Magic, Ninetymile Barry and Rockin' Roller were slow to begin.  Epping Champ, Kerrie Kerry and Shakin' Leo collided approaching the first turn.  Ninetymile Barry crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Epping Champ, Kerrie Kerry and Shakin' Leo; Epping Champ lost ground and collided with Kerrie Kerry and Shakin' Leo as a result.  Shakey Jet checked off Pictures Of Me entering the home straight.  Epping Champ checked off Shakin' Leo approaching the winning post.

Never Satisfied was a late scratching at 7:32am due to the greyhound being on season (GAR 24).  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Vienna Pink was a late scratching at 11:05am due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer, Mr. I. Brown was fined the sum of $100.

Mr. K. Irby, representative of Dee Mum's Girl declared a new weight of 27.7kgs in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Dee Mum's Girl last raced at 26.1kgs.

Say Nothing and Daintree Alice were slow to begin.  Simple and Daintree Alice collided several times from the first turn to the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Jason Formosa, the trainer of Proven Crown regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Proven Crown last raced on 23rd of May 2016. Jason Formosa stated that the greyhound had had a change of trainer and had a spell.

Tricky Trey and Make That Call collided soon after the start.  Worthy Reab crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Make That Call.  Tricky Trey and Proven Crown collided on the first turn.  Worthy Reab raced wide approaching the home turn checking Orange Blossom.  Proven Crown raced wide approaching the home turn.  Tricky Trey and Make That Call collided entering the home straight.  Proven Crown checked off Orange Blossom in the home straight.

Ninetymile Ace, Lumumba and Molly Walker were slow to begin.  Shooters Echo and Shooter's Irish collided on the first turn checking Shooters Echo and severely checking Shooter's Irish and Molly; Shooter's Irish lost ground causing Lumumba to gallop on the heels of Shooter's Irish severely checking Lumumba and causing Shooter's Irish to fall.  Ninetymile Ace and Invictus Ivy collided approaching the home turn.  Squeaky Gate and Invictus Ivy collided entering the home straight.

Shooter's Irish was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to its left and right from legs and soreness to its right shin.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Lumumba was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained sand burn to its left hind leg.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Satisfactory Trial Results

Stewards spoke to Mr. A. Setford, the trainer of Velocity Sonia regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Velocity Sonia last raced on 13th February 2016.  Mr. Setford stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after being new to his kennel and a neck injury.  Pursuant to GAR 77A, Velocity Sonia trialled over the 460 metre distance from box 1, weight 26.0kgs.  The greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 26.06.  The greyhound won by a margin of 7.25 lengths.  Velocity Sonia was cleared.
