A pre race sample was taken from Zipping Billy.

Zipping Billy was slow to begin. Podium Fantasy and Mr. Zip Zip collided soon after the start. Foxzami Storm and Airborn And Gone collided approaching the first turn. Zipping Billy raced wide approaching the first turn. Tye Chilly and Airborn And Gone collided on the first turn, checking Tye Chilly and Paradise Bay. Tuk Tuk checked off Zipping Billy approaching the home turn. Airborn And Gone galloped on the heels of Tuk Tuk entering the home straight, severely checking Tuk Tuk, which stumbled as a result. 

Tuk Tuk was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Becky Bale upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Marcus Daking was quick to begin. Cudgee's Myla and Becky Bale were slow to begin. Hi Ho Geronimo and Arolok Lil' Gal collided approaching the first turn. Marcus Daking, Bushman's Luck and Arolok Lil' Gal collided on the first turn, checking Bushman's Luck and Arolok Lil' Gal. Becky Bale, Snow Boots and Cudgee's Myla collided on the first turn, checking Snow Boots and Cudgee's Myla. Jemma's Fantasy, Hi Ho Geronimo and Marcus Daking collided on the first turn, checking Jemma's Fantasy and Marcus Daking. Hi Ho Geronimo and Arolok Lil' Gal collided approaching the winning post. 

A pre race sample was taken from Herbilly. 

Fabivan was slow to begin. Herbilly and Mignon collided soon after the start, checking Herbilly. Herbilly clipped the heels of Mignon approaching the first turn. Destroy I Said, Lucky Holly and Qura Allen collided approaching the first turn. Mignon checked off Destroy I Said on the first turn. Qura Allen checked off Lucky Holly on the first turn and collided with Fabivan. Fabivan raced wide in the home straight. 

A sample was taken from Mabel Allen - the winner of the event. 

Slipaway Bolt was slow to begin. Crackerjack Surf and Podium Sensation collided soon after the start. Tally Ho Dejay, Slipaway Bolt and Crackerjack Surf collided approaching the first turn, checking Tally Ho Dejay. Slipaway Bolt and Crackerjack Surf collided on the first turn. Crackerjack Surf galloped on the heels of Zebo Bale on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Slipaway Bolt and Podium Sensation collided approaching the home turn, and again on the home turn. 

A sample was taken from Cindy's Zafonic - the winner of the event. 

Stewards spoke to Mr.D.Drew, the trainer of Fencer regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Fencer  last raced on  29 April 2016.  Mr.Drew stated that the greyhound was returning to race following an injury to the right hock.

A pre race sample was taken from Lektra Utah. 

Bushman's Faith and Born Molly were quick to begin. Tally Ho Kate, Lektra Utah and Mr. Moonlight collided soon after the start, checking Tally Ho Kate and Lektra Utah. Fordo Bale checked off Bushman's Faith approaching the first turn. Fordo Bale, Born Molly and Mr. Moonlight collided on the first turn, checking Fordo Bale and Born Molly, and causing Mr. Moonlight to fall. Lektra Utah raced wide in the home straight. Tally Ho Kate raced wide in the home straight. 

Mr. Moonlight was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right wrist and spike wounds to the front right and both hind legs, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. 

Arolok Jane was slow to begin. Hashtag Jordan, Spritely Boy and Rylee's Marshall collided soon after the start, checking Hashtag Jordan. Rylee's Marshall checked off Unlocked approaching the first turn, checking Arolok Jane. Maximum Bella and Arolok Jane collided on the first turn. Arolok Jane checked off Rylee's Marshall approaching the home turn. Rylee's Marshall checked off Spritely Boy approaching the home turn. Hashtag Jordan and Unlocked collided on the home turn.

Ginger Warrior, Woolly Warbo, Dyna Omen, Good Memories and Emio Bale collided soon after the start, checking Ginger Warrior and Emio Bale, and severely checking Woolly Warbo, Dyna Omen and Good Memories, Dyna Omen stumbled as a result. Lektra Danger and Major Flo collided approaching the first turn, and again on the first turn, checking both greyhounds. Woolly Warbo and Good Memories collided on the first turn, checking Woolly Warbo. Lektra Danger and Major Flo collided approaching the home turn, checking Major Flo and Woolly Warbo. Woolly Warbo and Major Flo collided entering the home straight. Lektra Danger and Woolly Warbo collided in the home straight and raced wide.

Ringadingding was slow to begin. Carry On Quinney checked off Brahma's Pride approaching the first turn. Spring Break, Carry On Quinney and Brahma's Pride collided on the first turn, checking Carry On Quinney, and severely checking Spring Break and Brahma's Pride. Bedlum and Djarragun collided on the first turn, checking Bedlum and Saint Elite. Bedlum and Saint Elite collided approaching the home turn. Carry On Quinney and Bedlum collided approaching the winning post.
