Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr.D.Drew, the trainer of Fencer regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Fencer last raced on 29 April 2016. Mr.Drew stated that the greyhound was returning to race following an injury to the right hock.
A pre race sample was taken from Lektra Utah.
Bushman's Faith and Born Molly were quick to begin. Tally Ho Kate, Lektra Utah and Mr. Moonlight collided soon after the start, checking Tally Ho Kate and Lektra Utah. Fordo Bale checked off Bushman's Faith approaching the first turn. Fordo Bale, Born Molly and Mr. Moonlight collided on the first turn, checking Fordo Bale and Born Molly, and causing Mr. Moonlight to fall. Lektra Utah raced wide in the home straight. Tally Ho Kate raced wide in the home straight.
Mr. Moonlight was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right wrist and spike wounds to the front right and both hind legs, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
