Steward's Report
Master Boots and Perfect Life were slow to begin. Kennel Princess, Master Boots, Fawn Caviar and Perfect Life collided soon after the start checking Master Boots and Perfect Life. Like James and Kennel Princess collided approaching the first turn checking Kennel Princess. Ticka and Fawn Caviar collided approaching the home turn. Like James and Lexia collided approaching the home turn. Ticka checked off Fawn Caviar approaching the home turn. Like James raced wide on the home turn checking Lexia. Like James eased entering the home straight and collided with Lexia as a result. Ticka and Master Boots collided entering the home straight.
Like James was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound had no apparent injury.
Acting under GAR 69(1)(b) stewards charged Like James with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment and suspended the greyhound for 28 days Ballarat and directed that the greyhound perform a STAT, pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
