Gidget Grange and Kouta Reg collided soon after the start. Polkinghorne and Albo Gold collided soon after the start checking Polkinghorne. Polkinghorne and Giggle Grange collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds. Giggle Grange checked off Gidget Grange on the first turn. Polkinghorne, Kouta Reg and Cheap Champ collided on the first turn checking Kouta Reg and Cheap Champ. Mahogany Spirit checked off Gidget Grange approaching the home turn. Mahogany Spirit and Polkinghorne collided approaching the home turn and again on the home turn. Kouta Reg and Giggle Grange collided several times approaching the winning post.
Mahogany Spirit was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.
