Slipaway Mavis and Pyrenees Grand collided soon after the start checking Pyrenees Grand. Rellim Goodsie and Slipaway Mavis collided approaching the first turn checking Slipaway Mavis. Santa Storm and Planet Shaker collided approaching the first turn. Black Quill, Santa Storm and Planet Shaker collided on the first turn severely checking Planet Shaker and Santa Storm which fell as a result. Boltchak checked off Fly Walcott approaching the home turn. Black Quill raced wide on the home turn. Pyrenees Grand checked off Slipaway Mavis in the home straight. Boltchak and Rellim Goodsie collided several times in the home straight checking Rellim Goodsie.
