Steward's Report
Joyce Jetson was slow to begin. Elite Streak was quick to begin. Crosscheck, Riverside Riley, Cooper's Paddy and Why Not Radar collided soon after the start, checking Riverside Riley, Cooper's Paddy and Why Not Radar. Elite Streak and Agent Mickey collided on the first turn. Joyce Jetson, Riverside Riley and Cooper's Paddy collided on the first turn, checking Riverside Riley and severely checking Joyce Jetson. Elite Streak and Crosscheck collided entering the home straight. Joyce Jetson eased in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr G Neocleous, the trainer of the greyhound Joyce Jetson. Joyce Jetson was vetted and re-vetted following race 12. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left chest muscles and right monkey muscles, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(5), the Stewards charged Joyce Jetson with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury) and directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(6), before any future nomination will be accepted.
