Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to trainer representative Mrs G. Ennis in regards to Warrior King which had not raced since 19th February 2015. Mrs Ennis stated that the greyhound had been spelling after having a chip removed from a hock.
Call Me Hank was slow to begin. Warrior King and Dyna Villa collided soon after the start, checking Warrior King. Call Me Hank and One Dee collided approaching the home turn, checking Call Me Hank. Bills Back and Dyna Villa collided approaching the home turn. Kraken Soupy failed to pursue the lure in the home straight and collided with One Dee several times, checking One Dee.
Stewards spoke to Mr N.Jones, the handler of the greyhound Kraken Soupy regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Kraken Soupy was vetted and re-vetted following the event 8. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a grade 1 tear to the left pencil muscle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Kraken Soupy with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Jones pleaded guilty to the charge, Kraken Soupy was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
