Steward's Report
Fernado Bale was quick to begin. Deadly Vane checked off Crackerjack Dak approaching the first turn. Crackerjack Dak, West On Dally and Our Zayney Nash collided on the first turn, checking Crackerjack Dak and Deadly Vane. Dear Darcey checked off Mighty Sprite approaching the home turn. Mighty Sprite tired over the concluding stages of the event.
Stewards spoke to Mr S.Ralph, handler of Mighty Sprite regarding the greyhounds performance over the concluding stages, Mr Ralph stated that the greyhound has been racing over shorter trips and it was the greyhounds first start over the 425m this evening and raced to his expectations. Stewards noted the explanation of Mr Ralph. Mighty Sprite was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained spike wounds to the left hind. No stand down period was imposed.
