Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr C.Hass,trainer of Corduroy Lass with regard to the length of time the greyhound has had between racing. Corduroy Lass last raced on 4 November 2014. Mr Hass stated that Corduroy Lass is returning to racing after suffering a injury to her hind leg and then came on season. Stewards noted Mr Hass's comments.
Daliya Bale and Zonda Bale were quick to begin. Mohawk Mako and Pendles Power were slow to begin. Our Kimi crossed to the inside soon after the start checking Mohawk Mako and Pendles Power. Daliya Bale and Corduroy Lass collided soon after the start checking Corduroy Lass. Corduroy Lass contacted the running rail on the first turn. Pendles Power and Our Kimi collided approaching the home turn checking Our Kimi. Mohawk Mako and Nikita's Nitro collided entering the home straight.
Mr. C. Haas, trainer of Corduroy Lass left the course following this event before being vetted.. Stewards then contacted him. by phone. He returned to have his greyhound vetted.
Corduroy Lass was vetted following event 11. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its right front toes and right back muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
