Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr R Cunneen,trainer of Beautiful Rick with regard to the length of time the greyhound has had between racing. Beautiful Rick last raced on 17 March 2015. Mr R Cunneen stated that Beautiful Rick is returning to racing after suffering split webbing. Stewards noted Mr Cunneen's comments.
This event was delayed by approximately 3 minutes due to the thoroughbred races at Northam being 3 minutes behind their scheduled starting time.
Macey's Queen and Bonzo were slow to begin. On Flyer crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Bowler Best, Little Boots, Beautiful Rick and Claire Rose. Claire Rose and Macey's Queen collided approaching the first turn checking Macey's Queen. Little Boots and Claire Rose collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn checking Little Boots. Bowler Best, Claire Rose and Bonzo collided on the home turn checking Bowler Best and Bonzo.
