Saint Bale was quick to begin.  Bombora Flash and Carter Bale collided soon after the start.  It's An Illusion checked off Teddy Nitro on the first turn, checking Bombora Flash.  Graff Bale and Carter Bale collided on the first turn.  Graff Bale checked off It's An Illusion approaching the home turn, checking Carter Bale.  Graff Bale and Carter Bale collided approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds.  Bombora Flash raced wide on the home turn.  Saint Bale galloped on the heels of Stagger Express on the home turn, severely checking Saint Bale and Teddy Nitro.  Stagger Express and Chubba Chops collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to J Barbara, handler, regarding the direction that the greyhound It's An Illusion be boxed first. Acting under GAR 52(2) Stewards directed that this box first be removed.

A sample was taken from Chubba Chops - the winner of the event.

Teddy Nitro was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right pencil muscle, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Carter Bale was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Jiggly Legs and Some Tricks were slow to begin.  Faith In Bear and Zambora Brockie collided approaching the first turn.  Jiggly Legs checked off Farhat Bale on the first turn, checking Faith In Bear.  Jiggly Legs and Faith In Bear collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight.  Paragon Diamond raced wide in the home straight.  Some Tricks checked off Danny Darko approaching the winning post.

Deli Allen was quick to begin.  Whodat Knockin', Sisco Rage and Miss Cersei collided soon after the start.  Sisco Rage, Whodat Knockin' and Slipaway Mavis collided approaching the first turn, checking Slipaway Mavis, Miss Cersei and Molly Michelle.  Classy Boy, Slipaway Mavis and Miss Cersei collided entering the back straight, checking Slipaway Mavis.  Classy Boy and Miss Cersei collided in the back straight.  Dyna Geldof and Sisco Rage collided several times approaching the home turn.  Dyna Geldof and Miss Cersei collided in the home straight.

Light 'Em Up and El Marny collided soon after the start.  Dundas Boy, Hez Got Nitro, Light 'Em Up and El Marny collided approaching the first turn, checking El Marny, Hez Got Nitro and Dundas Boy and severely checking Light 'Em Up which stumbled and lost ground as a result.  Black And Pretty and El Marny collided approaching the first turn, checking El Marny.  Dundas Boy and Light 'Em Up collided on the home turn.

Light 'Em Up was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a torn toe nail, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

A. Azzopardi, trainer of Unbroken, redeclared a new weight of 32.1kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Unbroken last raced at 30.6kg.

Belena Jake, Unbroken, Zoltina's Prize and Claretown Bart collided soon after the start, checking Belena Jake and Unbroken.  Super Leggera and Zoltina's Prize collided approachng the home turn, checking Zoltina's Prize.  Neliel Bale checked off Super Leggera approaching the home turn, severely checking Claretown Bart.  Young Hawke crossed to the outside approaching the home turn.  Zoltina's Prize and Claretown Bart collided in the home straight.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Benzo Bale and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 6.22pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer A Dailly was fined the sum of $100.00.

Mr. Fox was quick to begin.  Jett Setter and Aristotle Bale collided soon after the start, checking both greyhounds.  Dorian Bale checked off Paua To Roar approaching the first turn.  Sisco Fiasco brushed the running rail on the first turn.  Cheap Currency and Dorian Bale collided on the first turn, severely checking Dorian Bale which stumbled as a result.  Jett Setter checked off Aristotle Bale approaching the home turn.  Cheap Currency and Mr. Fox collided on the home turn.  Mr. Fox checked off Cheap Currency in the home straight.

Asa Unbreakable was a late scratching at 9.56am due to injury (GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted.

Ima Screw Loose was slow to begin.  Dyna Chaser, Phaser Bale and Fine Diner collided approaching the first turn, checking Dyna Chaser and Fine Diner.  Maintenance Man crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Fine Diner and Phaser Bale.  Phaser Bale, Blast Away, Kian's Hybrid and Psychotic Bob collided on the first turn, checking Blast Away and Kian's Hybrid.  Kian's Hybrid checked off Blast Away in the home straight.  Dyna Chaser galloped on the heels of Phaser Bale, checking both greyhounds.  Phaser Bale stumbled approaching the winning post.

Phaser Bale was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following event 12, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to both thighs, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Water Bag, No Jockey Needed, Grand Slam Diva, Glitterbug and Usain Burst collided soon after the start, checking No Jockey Needed, Grand Slam Diva and Glitterbug.  Derby Magic, Pyrenees Grand and Water Bag collided approaching the first turn, checking Pyrenees Grand and Water Bag.  No Jockey Needed checked off Derby Magic on the first turn.  Derby Magic checked off Usain Burst approaching the home turn.  Pyrenees Grand and Water Bag collided approaching the home turn, checking Pyrenees Grand.  Usain Burst checked off No Jockey Needed on the home turn.

Peter Repeater and Famous Seamus were slow to begin.  Samsara Lass, Rosie's Crusade and Peter Repeater collided approaching the first turn.  Rosie's Crusade checked off Razor Hawk approaching the first turn.  Peter Repeater and Famous Seamus collided approaching the home turn and again approaching the winning post.
