Remember Train was quick to begin.  Yang Jing Shen was slow to begin.  Yang Jing Shen and Cosmic Kade collided soon after the start.  Ozzie Strike, Looking Back and Cosmic Kade collided at the 300m mark, checking Cosmic Kade.  Yang Jing Shen and Cosmic Kade collided at the 150m mark, checking both greyhounds.  Ozzie Strike and Looking Back collided at the 100m mark.

Mr. D. Batten, trainer of Dodge The Magic, declared a new weight of 33.3kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Dodge The Magic last raced at 31.5kgs.

Dodge The Magic, Shake and Jada's Joy were slow to begin.  Smashing Cans and Shake collided approaching the 300m mark.  Dodge The Magic crossed to the outside at the 300m mark, checking Dodge The Magic, Shake and Kimanator.  Kimanator crossed to the outside approaching the 250m mark.  Smashing Cans and Jada's Joy collided several times from the 250m mark until the 200m mark.

Ruby's Faith was a late scratching at 11.35am due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer L Bicchieri was fined the sum of $100.00.

Cool Lois was slow to begin.  Fanciful Indie was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Gan Cao Shen and Black Tikka collided soon after the start.  Cool Lois and Gan Cao Shen collided approaching the 250m mark.  Logic Lad checked off Brodie's Mullet approaching the 200m mark.  Gan Cao Shen galloped on the heels of Black Tikka approaching the 100m mark.  Renee Boucheau checked off Logic Lad approaching the 50m mark.

The incorrect time for the race was semophored immediately after the running of the race. This was rectified and the time was amended correctly to 16:89.

Premier Song, Shanlyn Jed and Stiegl were slow to begin.  Benson and Stiegl collided soon after the start, checking both greyhounds.  Wadelock Latte, Shanlyn Jed and Wasabi Princess collided soon after the start, checking all three greyhounds.  Benson and Stiegl collided approaching the 300m mark, checking Stiegl.  Shanlyn Jed crossed to the outside approaching the 250m mark.  Benson crossed to the rail approaching the 250m mark.  Wadelock Latte and Lila's Girl collided at the 250m mark, and again approaching the 150m mark, checking Wadelock Latte.  Benson and Premier Song collided at the 100m mark.  Wasabi Princess checked off Wadelock Latte approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to the trainer of Will He Bolt, Mr. F. Tasca, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between starts. Mr. Tasca stated that he has been trouble with the greyhounds wrists which he feels he has now rectified. Will He Bolt was approved to race in 100mm tapes on both wrists.

Stewards spoke to the handler of Ibrox Digger, Mr. J. Clarke, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between starts. Mr. Clarke stated that the greyhound had been spelling due to illness. Mr Clarke also declared a new weight of 36.4kgs in accoardance with GAR39(2). Ibrox Digger last raced at 37.9kgs.

Five Star Knocka and Carlie Spitz were slow to begin.  Black Selandra, Classique and Soldier Spy collided soon after the start, checking Black Selandra and Classique.  Black Selandra and Classique crossed to the outside approaching the 250m mark.  Black Selandra and Classique collided approaching the 250m mark and again at the 150m mark.

Will He Bolt was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right triceps and left pencil muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Huckleberry Blue was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Jack's Legend was very slow to begin (5 lengths).  Select Sanz, Gustavo Fring and Psycho's Wild collided soon after the start, checking Psycho's Wild and severely checking Gustavo Fring.  Select Sanz crossed to the outside approaching the 300m mark.  Night Phantom crossed to the outside approaching the 250m mark.  Lil' Miss Pleb crossed to the outside approaching the 200m mark.

Jack's Legend was vetted following the event and after being re-vetted following race 8, it was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right calf, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Remote Control and High Commando were slow to begin.  Enchanted Lass checked off Gospel Lass soon after the start.  Enchanted Lass and Oscar's Chance collided at the 250m mark.  Low Talker, Oscar's Chance and Enchanted Lass collided at the 200m mark, checking Enchanted Lass.  Oscar's Chance and Kosmik King collided at the 100m mark.

Coup D'Etat was quick to begin.  Big Dunc was slow to begin.  Good For You and Big Dunc collided soon after the start.  Strange Wish and Arvo's Rocco collided soon after the start.  Arvo's Rocco and Daintree Sugar collided at the 300m mark.  He's Schmick and Arvo's Rocco collided at the 100m mark.

Stewards spoke to the trainer of Diablo Keroma, Mr. A. Ware, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between starts. Mr Ware stated that the greyhound injured a fibula after his last run at Cranbourne on the 25th of January.

Albert's Patch, Diablo Keroma and Black Senor were slow to begin.  Elfie, Black Senor and Claire Rose collided soon after the start, checking Black Senor and Claire Rose.  Albert's Patch and Bad Moon Rising collided at the 200m mark.  Albert's Patchm Bad Moon Rising, Claire Rose and Jenmore collided at the 175m mark, checking Albert's Patch and Bad Moon Rising.  Albert's Patch and Bad Moon Rising collided several times from the 150m mark until the 50m mark.

Stewards spoke to the trainer of Duchess Of Dalas, Mr. D. Schwarz, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between starts. Mr Schwarz stated that the greyhound had been on season.

Stewards spoke to the trainer of Wild Less Stress, Mr. K. Ward, regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between starts. Mr Ward stated that the greyhound has been spelling due to an injured back muscle. Mr Ward also declared a new weight of 32.2kgs in accordance with 39(2). Wild Less Stress last raced at 33.3kgs.

Daintree Mustang was slow to begin.  Duchess Of Dalas and Bejay The Dejay collided soon after the start, checking Nimrod, Duchess Of Dalas and Bejay The Dejay.  Nimrod and Bejay The Dejay collided approaching the 250m mark.  My Minion, Nimrod and Bejay The Dejay collided several times approaching the 200m mark, checking My Minion and Nimrod and severely checking Duchess Of Dalas and Pod's Elect.  Black Samsara crossed to the outside approaching the 200m mark.  Duchess Of Dalas and Pod's Elect collided approaching the 50m mark and again approaching the winning post, checking Pod's Elect.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results - Another Man trialled over the 300m from box 1, weight 33.8kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 16.93, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 2 1/2 lengths. Another Man was cleared for straight track racing only.
