Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Wynd, trainer of Nawala Ginto, with regard to the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Nawala Ginto last raced on 5th March 2015. Mr. Wynd stated that Nawala Ginto suffered an injury to its hamstrings at its first start at Warrnambool and since returning to training the greyhound subsequently suffered a groin injury. Mr. Wyndd added that the greyhound has recovered from both injuries and has trialled on a number of occasions prior to tonight's event.
Coup De Vent crossed to the outside soon after the start, checking Pink Martini, Lee Brilliance and Nissan Bale. Coup De Vent, Lee Brilliance and Nissan Bale collided approaching the first turn, checking lee Brilliance and Nissan Bale. Pink Martini and Nissan Bale collided on the first turn, checking Nissan Bale. Pink Martini checked off Coup De Vent approaching the home turn. Pink Martini and Smokester collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight, checking both greyhounds. Coup De Vent raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.
