Mirror Bale was a late scratching at 6.20pm by Order of Stewards. Stewards have adjourned an inquiry to a date to be fixed to determine the circumstances pertaining to the incorrect greyhound being presented to race. 

Salesman and All About Ash were slow to begin.  Dwayne's Shout and Gandolf Bale collided soon after the start, checking Gandolf Bale which stumbled as a result.  All About Ash clipped the heels of Dwayne's Shout on the home turn, checking All About Ash.  Gandolf Bale raced wide on the home turn.

Dad's Man was slow to begin.  Crisis Bale and Sun Scream collided soon after the start.  Dad's Man and Atkin Bale collided approaching the first turn.  Perrier Bale checked off Berda Bale on the first turn.  Dark Obsession, Sun Scream and Berda Bale collided on the first turn, checking Sun Scream, Berda Bale, Atkin Bale and Dad's Man.  Atkin Bale checked off Berda Bale approaching the home turn, checking Sun Scream.

Dad's Man was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

All Vapour was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right shoulder, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Despedida was quick to begin.  Jazz Apple, Remy Bale and Kilter Bale collided soon after the start, checking Remy Bale.  Kilter Bale and Couta Goddess collided approaching the first turn, checking Kilter Bale.  Jazz Apple and Couta Goddess collided several times approaching the first turn, severely checking Jazz Apple.  Garmon Bale checked off Jazz Apple approaching the home turn.  Couta Goddess contacted the running rail approaching the home turn and lost ground as a result.  Remy Bale checked off So Vivacious approaching the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Wynd, trainer of Nawala Ginto, with regard to the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Nawala Ginto last raced on 5th March 2015. Mr. Wynd stated that Nawala Ginto suffered an injury to its hamstrings at its first start at Warrnambool and since returning to training the greyhound subsequently suffered a groin injury. Mr. Wyndd added that the greyhound has recovered from both injuries and has trialled on a number of occasions prior to tonight's event. 

Coup De Vent crossed to the outside soon after the start, checking Pink Martini, Lee Brilliance and Nissan Bale.  Coup De Vent, Lee Brilliance and Nissan Bale collided approaching the first turn, checking lee Brilliance and Nissan Bale.  Pink Martini and Nissan Bale collided on the first turn, checking Nissan Bale.  Pink Martini checked off Coup De Vent approaching the home turn.  Pink Martini and Smokester collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight, checking both greyhounds.  Coup De Vent raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Old Jock was slow to begin.  Old Jock and Charleston collided soon after the start.  Spreading Rumors, Mepunga Ranger and Sisco Fiasco collided soon after the start.  Gun Smoke Stumpy, Spreading Rumors and Mepunda Ranger collided on the first turn, checking Spreading Rumors.  Bronco De Kurer and Sisco Fiasco collided entering the back straight, checking Sisco Fiasco.  Thunder Chief raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Triple Lindy crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Dyna Zod and Dyna Quirk.  Triple Lindy checked off Aqua Lamont approaching the first turn.  Maintenance Man checked off We Are Geelong approaching the home turn, severely checking Triple Lindy.

Triple Lindy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left shoulder muscle and left abductor muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Westerlo, trainer of Full On Bling, with regard to the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Full On Bling last raced on 12th February 2015. Mr. Westerlo stated that Full On Bling strained a hock at its previous start at Warrnambool and he has taken some time to get the greyhound back to racing. Mr. Westerlo added that, in his opinion, Full On Bling will benefit from recent Coursing.

Spring Grace crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Full On Bling, Rapid Incline, Miss Cersei and Lektra Hawk.  Lektra Hawk and Flynnie collided on the first turn, checking Flynnie.  Blistering Bob checked off Lektra Hawk on the first turn.  Blistering Bob, Flynnie and Miss Cersei collided on the home turn.

Dewana Babe and Arejay Smokey collided soon after the start.  Soul Dancer and Memory Bound collided soon after the start.  Sally Gardens and Jamiela Twist collided soon after the start.  Soul Dancer, Memory Bound and Sally Gardens collided on the first turn.  Hession Boots chcked off Soul Dancer on the second turn.  Sally Gardens raced wide in the back straight.  Arejay Smokey checked off Memory Bound on the third turn.  Soul Dancer checked off Jamiela Twist on the home turn.  Sally Gardens raced wide in the home straight.

M Stanley, trainer of Miss Shirleen redeclared a new weight of 32.7kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Miss Shirleen last raced at 33.9kgs.

Stewards spoke to Ms. N. Stanley trainer of Miss Shirleen, with regard to the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Miss Shirleen last raced on 21st January 2015. Ms. Stanley stated that Miss Shirleen initially had a break from racing due to an illness and since returning to training the greyhound had suffered an injury to its hip and subsequently its hock. Ms. Stanley added that she has slowly progressed with Miss Shirleen since both setbacks and has given the greyhound a number of trials before tonight's event. 

Frattini crossed to the rail soon after the start, checking Deli Allen and Lead Into Demise.  Rugall crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Pretty Bale, Got Held Up and Miss Shirleen.  Got Held Up and Deli Allen collided approaching the home turn, checking Got Held Up.

Evening In Paris was quick to begin.  Electro Bale, Diego Bale and Hypernym collided soon after the start.  Cro Cop checked off Electro Bale soon after the start.  Hypernym and Stagger Express collided approaching the first turn, checking Stagger Express.  Cro Cop checked off Stagger Express on the first turn.  Folio Bale and Hypernym collided on the first turn, checking Hypernym.  Stagger Express checked off Hypernym in the home straight.  Stagger Express and Hypernym collided approaching the winning post, checking Hypernym.

Hypernym was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left shoulder, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Thunder Raz was slow to begin.  Tenonas and Harkonen Bale collided soon after the start, checking both greyhounds.  Tenonas checked off Thunder Raz on the first turn.  Ebert Bale, Crackerjack Andy, Chief Brit and Hermoso collided on the first turn, checking Hermoso and severely checking Chief Brit and Crackerjack Andy.  Harkonen Bale and Thunder Raz collided approaching the home turn.  Thunder Raz checked off Hermoso entering the home straight.  Crackerjack Andy checked off Chief Brit entering the home straight.

Macey Blue was quick to begin.  Who's That Chap checked off Magic Success approaching the first turn.  Who's That Chap galloped on the heels of Lucky Two Lips approaching the first turn, checking Lucky Two Lips, Who's That Chap and Wizard Of Offaly.  Magic Success checked off Macey Blue on the first turn.  Direwolf Ghost checked off Lucky Two Lips on the first turn.  Macey Blue and Ernest Bale collided entering the home straight.
