G. Howell, trainer of Love To Love redeclared a new weight of 31.6kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Love To Love last raced at 30.5kgs.
Stewards spoke to Mr G. Howell, Trainer of the greyhound Love To Love regarding the extended period of time between races. Mr Howell stated that the greyhound was returning to race after suffering from a shoulder injury.
Bozumolu was slow to begin. Mincey Moo, To A Degree, Blue Away, Love To Love and We Froff Dat collided soon after the start checking Mincey Moo, To A Degree, Blue Away and Love To Love. Mincey Moo and Blue Away collided at the 300 metre mark. Mincey Moo and Early Violet collided approaching the 250 metre mark. Claire Rose and Blue Away collided approaching the 250 metre mark. Claire Rose checked off Blue Away approaching th 50 metre mark. Bozumolu and Blue Away collided approaching the winning post. To A Degree and Early Violet collided approaching the winning post.
Stewards spoke to Mr J.Nicholls, catching pen attendant, and reminded him of his responsibilities after he failed to ensure that the rear gate of the catching pen was securely fastened, resulting in a number of greyhounds escaping the catching pen.
