Steward's Report
Ashanti Alinga and Blossom Noir were slow to begin. Harsh Vision and Gox Rocks collided soon after the start and approaching the first turn. Barbarose Boy and Maximum Owie collided on the first turn checking Devil's Mate and severely checking Barbarose Boy. Ashanti Alinga pulled up in the home straight. Blossom Noir raced wide in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Mr. M. McGuire, the representative of the greyhound Ashanti Alinga regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Ashanti Alinga was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to its right shoulder and right coupling (back). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Ashanti Alinga with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. McGuire pleaded guilty to the charge. Ashanti Alinga was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
