Steward's Report
Good Judge Buddy was very slow to begin (3 lengths). Virginia Rose, Burekup Boy and Lakeview Luke were slow to begin. Virginia Rose, Burekup Boy and Lakeview Luke collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn checking Burekup Boy and Lakeview Luke. Virginia Rose and Burekup Boy collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Burekup Boy faltered approaching the second turn and lost ground as a result. My Zephyr faltered in the back straight and tailed off as a result.
Burekup Boy was vetted following the event and was revetted following Race 11. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a strain to the left shoulder, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
My Zephyr was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a torn right back muscle, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
