Zipping Eastwood and Money Come Back were slow to begin. Sam Toocan crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Bronco De Jurer, Zigstar and Lead Into Demise. Classy Boy checked off Bronco De Jurer in the back straight. Annie Weaver and Bronco De Jurer collided in the back straight. Sam Toocan checked off Money Come Back on the second turn. Lead Into Demise galloped on the heels of Annie Weaver approaching the home turn, checking Lead Into Demise and Zigstar and severely checking Annie Weaver. Classy Boy checked off Zipping Eastwood in the home straight.

Annie Weaver was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained lacerations to both hind webbings, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.
