Love Affair and Julie Bale were slow to begin. Love Affair and Lady Toy collided soon after the start. Coulta Rock and Tears Siam collided on the first turn checking Tears Siam and Shanlyn Patch. Lady Toy checked off Mepunga Tiara on the fourth turn. Mepunga Tiara checked off Lady Toy on the fifth turn.
Shanlyn Patch was vetted following an incident in the catching pen after the conclusion of the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a sore back injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
