Due to no trialling being conducted using the hoop lure on the inner track, this race was conducted on the regular lure and finished into the catching pen.
Stewards downgraded the track to slow at 5:31pm.
Delalicious and Calm Bliss were slow to begin. Micha Bale and Golden Tears collided approaching the first turn. Midnight Ebony checked off Golden Tears on the first turn. Calm Bliss and Nulla Girl collided on the first turn. Take Fright, Calm Bliss and Nulla Girl raced wide approaching the second turn. Calm Bliss and Nulla Girl collided on the third turn, severely checking Calm Bliss. Nulla Girl galloped on the heels of Midnight Ebony approaching the home turn.
