Steward's Report
Citrus Kiss and Brandeen Peaches were slow to begin. Dealer's Call, Garnier Bale and King Farouk collided approaching the first turn, checking Garnier Bale. White With One and Rozehill Alby collided approaching the first turn, checking Brandeen Peaches and Rozehill Alby. Dealer's Call, King Farouk and White With One collided approaching the first turn. Onya Teddy raced wide approaching the home turn. King Farouk raced wide and eased approaching the home turn, checking Onya Teddy. Dealer's Call and White With One collided on the home turn, checking Brandeen Peaches.
Stewards spoke to Mr L.Karabitsakos, the trainer of the greyhound King Farouk regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. King Farouk was vetted and after being re-vetted following event 11, it was reported that the greyhound sustained a left sesamoid injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged King Farouk with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Karabitsakos pleaded guilty to the charge, King Farouk was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
