Photo Bomber, Dr. Luvdisc, Lonesome Dude, Paua Hiking, Tree Climber Liv and Augustus Dagloop collided on the first turn severely checking Paua Hiking and checking Lonesome Dude, Dr. Luvdisc and Adara Lad. Dr. Luvdisc and Lonesome Dude collided entering the back straight checking Lonesome Dude, Paua Hiking and Adara Lad. Tree Climber Liv raced wide in the home straight checking Augustus Dagloop. Tree Climber Liv failed to pursue the lure approaching the winning post.
Adara Lad was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left calf, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Tree Climber Liv was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left back muscle and left pencil muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Allen the trainer of the greyhound Tree Climber Liv regarding the greyhound's racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) Stewards charged Tree Climber Liv with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr. Allen pleaded not guilty to the charge, Tree Climber Liv was found guilty and suspended the greyhound for 3 months all tracks and it was directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(b) before any future nomination will be accepted.
