Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Lady Julian upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Stewards spoke to Ms. C. Cook the representative of Lady Julian regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Lady Julian last raced on 15/03/16. Ms. Cook stated the greyhound was returning to racing following a left metacarpal injury.
A pre-race sample was taken from Emio Bale.
Collinda Warrior, Lady Julian and Lord Somersby were slow to begin. Lady Julian and Collinda Warrior collided approaching the first turn. Lord Somersby, Lady Julian and Collinda Warrior collided approaching the first turn checking Lady Julian. Emio Bale, Sliver and Cheeful Scout collided approaching the first turn. Lord Somersby and Collinda Warrior collided on the second turn severley checking Lord Somersby. Lady Julian and Collinda Warrior collided on the second turn checking Lady Julian. There's Steamy and Loader collided on the home turn. Cheeful Scout and Emio Bale collided at the winning post.
Lord Somersby was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left monkey muscle, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.
