Mrs. L. Russell, trainer of Corroboree declared a new weight of 35.9kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Corroboree last raced at 34.1kgs.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. L. Russell, the trainer of Corroboree regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Corroboree last raced on 24/03/2016.  Mrs. Russell stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a change of kennels.

Motors Too Fast was quick to begin.  Tail Gate was slow to begin.  Arnie's Locket was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Ready Sebi Go and Miss Maximo collided soon after the start checking Miss Maximo.  Two Dollar Pots, Tail Gate, Corroboree and Motors Too Fast collided on the first turn checking Tail Gate and Motors Too Fast severely checking Corroboree which stumbled checking Miss Maximo and Arnie's Locket.  Two Dollar Pots, Tail Gate and Motors Too Fast collided on the first turn checking Tail Gate and  Motors Too Fast.  Arnie's Locket checked off Motors Too Fast approaching the home turn.  Arnie's Locket raced wide entering the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. O. McGovern, the trainer of Fearless Flyer regarding the length of time the greyhound as had between races.  Fearless Flyer last raced on 17/04/2016.  Mr. McGovern stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a left elbow injury.

Sindy's Girl and Motivate Her were quick to begin.  Fearless Flyer was slow to begin.  Ima Ebay and Tahnee Dream collided soon after the start.  Photo Bomber and Aston Noir collided soon after the start.  Photo Bomber, Aston Noir and Sindy's Girl collided on the first turn checking Photo Bomber and Sindy's Girl and severely checking Aston Noir.  Sindy's Girl, Fearless Flyer and Tahnee Dream raced wide entering the home straight.

Ima Ebay was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a torn right hind triangle muscle, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Miata Gold was quick to begin.  Go Go Guru and General Soreness were slow to begin.  Lunar Magic and Lemon Paw collided on the first turn checking Lunar Magic.  Lemon Paw checked off General Soreness entering the back staright.  Lunar Magic raced wide in the back straight.  Always About Me and Lemon Paw collided on the second turn checking Always About Me.  Miata Gold and Go Go Guru collided approaching the home turn checking Miata Gold.  Lunar Magic raced wide on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Ms. Peta - Amie Fisher, handler of General Soreness, regarding her tardiness in boxing the greyhound and reminded her of her responsibilities.

Loader was a late scratching at 16:38 due to non arrival (GAR 31).  A 28 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Ms. A. Mammone was fined the sum of $100.

Jay Jay Bee was quick to begin.  Sanz Marlow was slow to begin.  Aston Hammer and Ninetymile Holly collided approaching the first turn checking Ninetymile Holly.  Aston Hammer and Sanz Marlow collided on the first turn.  Tarree's Ruslie checked off Ninetymile Holly on the first turn and stumbled causing Aston Hammer and Sanz Marlow to race wide.  Zero Care Factor checked off Sappy Bale on the first turn.  Tarree's Ruslie raced wide on the home turn.  Jay Jay Bee and Sanz Marlow raced wide in the home straight.

Quaker Bale was quick to begin.  Zipping Zeus, Yaris Bale and One Cup Short were slow to begin.  Dash Of Scotch crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Zipping Zeus and Fairy Pretty and severely checking Yaris Bale and Strzelecki.  Yaris Bale faltered in the back straight and subsequently tailed off.  Quaker Bale and Magic Ambush collided approaching the home turn checking Quaker Bale

Yaris Bale was vetted and after being re vetted following event 9, it was reported that the greyhound sustained a right triangle muscle tear, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Walk On By was slow to begin.  Ballymac Finola was very slow to begin (3 lengths).  Lonesome Katie and Eduardo Rose collided on the first turn checking Lonesome Katie.  Tiger Rance and Splash Of White collided approaching the home turn checking Tiger Rance.  Ballymac Finola raced wide in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Crawford, the trainer of Golden regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Golden last raced on 19/03/2016.  Mr. Crawford stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a tumour removal from the right shoulder.

Golden and Wrong Given Way were slow to begin.  Beyond Today and Heard It Before collided soon after the start.  Take The Crown and Heard It Before collided approaching the first turn checking Heard It Before.  River Crossing, Take The Crown and Golden collided on the first turn checking Take The Crown and Golden.

Lochinvar Kors was a late scratching at 15:50pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Trainer Mr. A. Kenyon was fined the sum of $100.

Sandy Monelli and Jesaulenko were quick to begin.  Conspiracy and Flywheel Alfie were slow to begin.  Sandy Monelli and Magic Is Might collided on the first turn checking Magic Is Might.  Boss Senor and Conspiracy collided on the first turn checking Boss Senor.  Flywheel Alfie galloped on Magic Is Might approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Magic Is Might and Flywheel Alfie collided on the home turn checking Magic Is Might which raced wide.

Magic Is Might was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained split webbing on the left hind toe's a 28 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Baker, the trainer of Half Moon Rising regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Half Moon Rising last raced on 18/04/2016.  Mr. Baker stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a right wrist injury.

A sample was unable to be obtained from Half Moon Rising on arrival at the course, a subsequent pre race sample was taken.

Rockin' Roller was quick to begin.  Bless 'Em All and Fearless Swan were slow to begin.  Fearless Swan crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Kerrie Kerry.  Ninetymile Heidi checked off Half Moon Rising on the first turn.  Bless 'Em All and Kerrie Kerry collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Rockin' Roller galloped on  Half Moon Rising approaching the home turn checking Rockin' Roller.  Fearless Swan and Half Moon Rising collided approaching the home turn.  Bless 'Em All raced wide approaching the home turn.  Half Moon Rising galloped on Fearless Swan on the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Bless 'Em All checked off Rockin' Roller entering the home straight.

Kerrie's One and Flip were quick to begin.  Off The Hip and Sweet Amber were slow to begin.  Off The Hip checked off Onto Jatt on the first turn.  Enduro Miss checked off Beyond Galaxia on the first turn checking Off The Hip.  Off The Hip and Sweet Amber collided in the back straight.  Onto Jatt and Riverside Deb collided in the back straight checking Onto Jatt and Sweet Amber.  Riverside Deb galloped on Flip approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Onto Jatt and Sweet Amber collided and raced wide on the home turn.  Flip and Riverside Deb collided entering the home straight.  Flip lost ground in the home straight.

Flip was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a suspected spinal condition, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Johannsen, the trainer of Loving Angels regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Loving Angels last raced on 27/03/2016.  Mr. Johannsen stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a left wrist injury.

Phillip Keeping was quick to begin.  Avon Power and Division Four were slow to begin.  Avon Power and Division Four collided on the first turn checking Avon Power.  Division Four and Loving Angels collided on the first turn checking Loving Angels.  Phillip Keeping and Needs Wings collided on the home turn.

Amlin Jewel was a late scratching at 16:19 on the advice of the Club's Veterinary Surgeon due to a torn monkey muscle left foreleg.  A 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Lizzy Allen and Simply Mystic were slow to begin.  Dream Of Success and Nova Bell collided on the first turn checking Nova Bell, Lizzy Allen and Aeroplane Mick.  Nova Bell checked off Dream Of Success on the home turn.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results - Sir Richard trialled over the 440m from box 8, weight 34.0kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 25.16,  the greyhound won by a margin of 7 lengths.  Sir Richard was Cleared.
