A pre-race sample was taken from Shifty Joshua upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
A pre-race sample was taken from Ginger Pieces.
Nat was slow to begin. Gunsblaze and Nat collided soon after the start. Benson checked off Zipping Laura soon after the start. Why Not Barrel checked off Shifty Joshua at the 300 metre mark. Shifty Joshua and Zipping Laura collided at the 200 metre mark checking Shifty Joshua and severely checking Zipping Laura; Zipping Laura collided with Benson as a result. Zipping Laura galloped on the heels of Benson approaching the 150 metre mark checking both greyhounds. Gunsblaze checked off Benson approaching the winning post.
