Spring Bomber checked off Bull Battle Born approaching the first turn. Adelaide Bale and City Slang collided approaching the first turn. Tommy's Tune and Nitro Reactor collided on the first turn. Mc Fipa, City Slang and Bull Battle Born collided approaching the home turn, checking City Slang and Bull Battle Born. Tommy's Tune checked off Bull Battle Born approaching the home turn. Bull Battle Born and City Slang collided approaching the home turn, checking City Slang. Spring Bomber raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight. Mc Fipa raced wide in the home straight. Dyna Kel and Bull Battle Born collided in the home straight.

Logistic Kid and Big Cold Burst were quick to begin. Dyna Yamba was slow to begin. Sooty Epsom, Mix Off Harmony and Big Cold Burst collided soon after the start, and again approaching the first turn, checking Mix Off Harmony and Big Cold Burst. Mix Off Harmony galloped on the heels of Sooty Epsom approaching the first turn. Sooty Epsom and Lektra Timon collided on the first turn, checking Sooty Epsom. Sooty Epsom and Big Cold Burst collided on the first turn, checking Sooty Epsom. Dyna Yamba and Lektra Timon collided approaching the home turn. Big Cold Burst galloped on the heels of Mix Off Harmony approaching the home turn, checking Mix Off Harmony. Dyna Yamba and Spring Recall collided entering the home straight. 

Sooty Epsom was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the right hock. No stand down period was imposed.

Zoltan Bale, Scarce and Push The Trolley collided approaching the first turn, checking Scarce and Push The Trolley. Baron Charlie and Allen Clown collided on the first turn, checking Baron Charlie. Scarce checked off Push The Trolley approaching the home turn. Allen Clown, Zoltan Bale and Hillbilly Hell collided approaching the home turn, checking Allen Clown, Baron Charlie and Hillbilly Hell, and severely checking Zoltan Bale. Zoltan Bale and Jetmag Storm collided in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Cook, trainer of the greyhound Push The Trolley and reminded him of his responsibilities in regards to  ensuring that he fully clears the lead from the greyhound prior to placing it in the boxes. 

Stewards spoke to Mr T. Mitchell, handler of the greyhound Captain Pete which had not raced since 18 April 2016. Mr Mitchell stated that the greyhound was new to the kennel and had recovered from wrist injuries.

Lady Goddess, Tooralee, Fiery Felix and Destini Tenor were slow to begin. Lady Goddess, Tooralee, Fiery Felix and Destini Tenor collided soon after the start, and again approaching the first turn, checking all four greyhounds. Shezza's Nitro checked off Dane Daisy on the first turn. Shezza's Nitro and Destini Tenor collided on the home turn, and again entering the home straight, severely checking both greyhounds.

Rhapsody Twist and Six Green Thumbs collided soon after the start. Made First, Rhapsody Twist, Six Green Thumbs, Zac's A Sixpence and Jewel Fantasy collided on the first turn, checking Rhapsody Twist and Six Green Thumbs. Dark Jameson and Made First collided entering the back straight, checking Made First. Zac's A Sixpence and Jewel Fantasy collided entering the back straight. Rhapsody Twist and Zac's A Sixpence collided on the second turn, checking Rhapsody Twist. Rhapsody Twist and Jewel Fantasy collided on the home turn. 

Stewards spoke to Mrs. E. Vigor, regarding her difficulty in boxing the greyhound Rhapsody Twist.  Stewards directed that Rhapsody Twist be boxed first in future events.

Farmer Brown and Duff Bale collided approaching the first turn. Meat Titan and Farmer Brown collided approaching the first turn, checking Farmer Brown. Duff Bale and Starvin' Seagull collided approaching the first turn. Farmer Brown and Dyna Zeek collided approaching the first turn, and again on the first turn, checking Dyna Zeek. Mahogany Saphire checked off Starvin' Seagull approaching the home turn and collided with Duff Bale, checking both greyhounds. Mahogany Saphire and Duff Bale collided approaching the home turn, checking Duff Bale. Dyna Zeek checked off Farmer Brown on the home turn. 

Take That Banksy and Call Me Swift collided soon after the start, checking Call Me Swift, which collided with Percy's Rebel. Swisher galloped on the heels of Percy's Rebel approaching the home turn. Eppy Bale and Swisher collided approaching the home turn, checking Swisher. Take That Banksy galloped on the heels of Swisher approaching the home turn, severely checking Take That Banksy. 

A sample was taken from Dyna Edgar - the winner of the event. 

Hercules Bale was slow to begin. Penelopes Cruzn, Harlem Shake and Schooner Doll collided approaching the first turn. Jailor Bale crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Schooner Doll, Penelopes Cruzn and Showtime Mystery. Harlem Shake and Schooner Doll collided approaching the home turn, and again on the home turn.

Hercules Bale which tailed off,  was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right back muscle, right thigh and right quadriceps, a 28 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr R Gray and issued a charge pursuant to GAR 86(o) in that as the trainer of the greyhound Memphis Victorem, he was negligent in that he he was late to present the said greyhound for kennelling. Mr Gray plead guilty to the charge. Stewards found Mr Gray guilty and issued a fine of $100.

Best Shared was slow to begin. Memphis Victorem, Mega Jewels and Superstar Jatt collided approaching the first turn, checking Mega Jewels. Memphis Victorem and Superstar Jatt collided on the first turn. Anita's Girl and Milly O'Muffin collided approaching the home turn. Mega Jewels and Superstar Jatt raced wide in the home straight. 

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Superstar Jatt, a post race sample was subsequently taken.

Extradition, Irish Asteria and Rusty Boy collided soon after the start, checking Rusty Boy and Irish Asteria. Zoltina's Prize and Jai Alai collided on the first turn, checking Zoltina's Prize. Sketchy Nick and Rusty Boy collided approaching the home turn, checking Rusty Boy. Jai Alai, Iyliss Bale and Extradition collided approaching the home turn, checking Iyliss Bale and Extradition. Iyliss Bale and Zoltina's Prize collided entering the home straight, checking Zoltina's Prize, which collided with Sketchy Nick.

Beyond The Vally and Price Tag collided approaching the first turn. Suitress and Premier Macs collided approaching the first turn. Price Tag galloped on the heels of Lady Juar approaching the first turn. Price Tag galloped on the heels of Beyond The Vally on the home turn, checking both greyhounds. 

Hurricane Queen was slow to begin. Red Sally, Hurricane Queen and Psychotic Bob collided approaching the first turn. Happy Hudson, Il Bacaro and Dom Daisy collided on the first turn, checking Dom Daisy. Dom Daisy, Red Sally and Hurricane Queen collided on the first turn, checking Hurricane Queen, and severely checking Red Sally. Red Sally faltered approaching the home turn and lost ground as a result.  Dom Daisy crossed to the outside on the home turn.

Happy Hudson was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a gum abrasion, a 3 day stand down period was imposed. 

Red Sally was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left back muscle and left thigh, a 28 day stand down period was imposed.
