Cullquin Nikki, Old Black Betty, Ray Ray Returns and Ollie Aztec collided on the first turn checking Old Black Betty, Ray Ray Returns and Ollie Aztec. Katie Alouette checked off Ollie Aztec approaching the home turn. Old Black Betty, Ray Ray Returns and Ollie Aztec collided approaching the home turn checking all three greyhounds. Ollie Aztec and Ray Ray Returns raced wide entering the home straight. Velcoe crossed to the rail approaching the winning post.

Mr. R. Morgan, trainer of Sienna's Lilly declared a new weight of 26.3kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Sienna'a Lilly last raced at 25.1kg.

Steamy Unplugged, General Remus and Big Roo Drew were quick to begin. Mepunga Focus, Koori Tess and Super Ricky collided soon after the start checking Mepunga Focus and Koori Tess. General Remus and Koori Tess collided approaching the second turn. Steamy Unpluggeed and General Remus collided on the second turn.  Steamy Unpluggeed and General Remus collided on the home turn. Koori Tess and General Remus collided in the home straight.

Air Commando was a late scratching at 2:27pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr D.Boots was fined the sum of $100.

Horey's Girl was slow to begin. Cullquin Frank crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Calen, Horey's Girl and Fred's My Name. Jersey, Delta Miss and Burst Of Magic collided on the first turn and again entering the back straight checking Delta Miss and Burst Of Magic. Horey's Girl, Calen and Fred's My Name collided in the back straight. Calen checked off Fred's My Name approaching the second turn. Burst Of Magic, Delta Miss, Horey's Girl and Calen collided on the second turn checking Burst Of Magic and Horey's Girl. Cullquin Frank checked off Jersey approaching the home turn. Hardy Chief, McThumpa and Spritely Boy were quick to begin. Roll 'Em Sharky, El Chapo and Crave collided soon after the start checking Roll 'Em Sharky. A pre race sample was unable to be obtained from Binky Bale and subsequently, a post race sample was taken.

Laboomba went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (4L). Whipstick Chloe and Sodidee collided on the first turn. Sodidee, Vanderville Girl and Mr. Banks collided on the first turn. Mr. Banks checked off Just Jatt on the home turn.

Tommy Longstride was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right deltoid muscle. A stand down period of 7 days was imposed.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. G. Edwards, the trainer of Tommy Longstride regarding the greyhound’s racing manners approaching the first turn.

A pre race sample was taken from Patriotic Star.

Howth was slow to begin. Patriotic Star and Cullquin Annie collided soon after the start. Two Pointover, Carlanna Sharna, Vanderville Kid and Obladi Oblada collided approaching the first turn.
