Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Wilson, the trainer of Wrecking Ralph regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Wrecking Ralph last raced on 4th April 2016. Mr. Wilson stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following an attack of acidosis.
Sootette was slow to begin. Hit The Beat, Prison Cells and Zelemar Leap collided soon after the start. Monaleen Deejay checked off Hit The Beat approaching the first turn. Zelemar Leap, Wrecking Ralph, Monaleen Deejay and Financial Bonus collided on the first turn checking Financial Bonus, Monaleen Deejay and Wrecking Ralph. Wrecking Ralph, Monaleen Deejay and Sootette collided approaching the home turn. Monaleen Deejay and Sootette collided on the home turn checking Sootette.
