Steward's Report
The start of this event was delayed by approximately 4 minutes due to the parade steward misreading the start time for the event off his worksheet.
A pre-race was sample was unable to be obtained from Eppy Bale, a post race sample was subsequently taken.
Road Driller was slow to begin. Paua Hiking and Mix Off Harmony collided soon after the start. Albert's Patch and Coo Coo Coconuts collided approaching the first turn checking Coo Coo Coconuts and Road Driller. Queen Lagertha, Mix Off Harmony, Paua Hiking and Taabinga Fella collided approaching the first turn checking Queen Lagertha, Mix Off Harmony and Paua Hiking. Albert's Patch and Paua Hiking collided approaching the home turn checking Paua Hiking. Queen Lagertha raced wide in the home straight. Paua Hiking and Coo Coo Coconuts collided approaching the winning post.
Mix Off Harmony was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right chest, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to parade steward Mr. C. Moran and reminded him of his responsibilities in relation to parading the greyhounds to the boxes in a timely manner prior to the starting time of the event..
