Steward's Report

Monaleen Monty, Pelerin and Paddy Norris were slow to begin. Sally's Cookie and Sudden Burst collided approaching the first turn. Pelerin and Monaleen Monty collided approaching the first turn. Pelerin and Sally's Cookie collided on the first turn. Monaleen Monty and Stevie Rocks collided approaching the home turn, checking Stevie Rocks, Pelerin and Paddy Norris. Monaleen Monty and Sally's Cookie collided on the home turn.

Pelerin was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right quadriceps and a seven day stand down period was imposed. After being re-vetted following the event six, it was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right gracilis, right quadriceps and left sartorius, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mr Kruisselbrink the trainer of the greyhound Pelerin. Stewards deemed the performance of Pelerin unsatisfactory in this event from the home turn to the winning post and acting in accordance with GAR71, Stewards directed that Pelerin must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
