LIght 'Em Lylah and Shanlyn Percy were quick to begin.  Shanlyn Pippin, Buckle Up Sheila and Diamond Vee collided soon after the start checking Buckle Up Sheila.  Light 'Em Lylah crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Milly's Way.  LIght 'Em Lylah and Milly's Way collided on the first turn checking Light 'Em Lylah.  Heidi's Jewel, Emperor Cruz and Shanlyn Pippin collided on the first turn checking Heidi's Jewel.  Shanlyn Pippin was checked off Light 'Em Lylah on the first turn checking Diamond Vee.  Heidi's Jewel was checked off Diamond Vee on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr. O. McGovern and reminded him of his responsibilities regarding his failure to comply with the GRV dress code (LR 22).

It's All Bolony and Always About Me were quick to begin.  Whodat Bangin' and Dr. Poppel were slow to begin.  Whodat Bangin' and Flying Cash collided soon after the start checking Flying Cash.  Ima Reality crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Whodat Bangin' and Ima Reality.  Whodat Bangin' was checked off Dr. Poppel on the first turn checking Ima Reality.  Dr. Poppel was checked off It's All Bolony entering the home straight.  Whodat Bangin' raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.

Whodat Bangin' was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

A pre-race sample was taken from Miss Pepperoni.

Miss Pepperoni was quick to begin.  Aston Grace was slow to begin.  Miss Pepperoni crossed to the rail soon after the start causing Aston Grace, Gee Whiz Gran, Mix Off Harmony, Brandeen Bayley and Caidan Marlo to collide checking Aston Grace, Gee Whiz Gran and Mix Off Harmony.  Brandeen Bayley, Caidan Marlo and Creative Hit collided on the first turn severely checking Caidan Marlo.  Aston Grace, Gee Whiz Gran and Mix Off Harmony collided on the first turn checking Gee Whiz Gran.  Brandeen Bayley and Creative Hit collided approaching the home turn checking Brandeen Bayley.  Mix Off Harmony and Creative Hit collided on the home turn.  Caidan Marlo raced wide on the home turn.

Scanez Jewel and Paua Hiking were quick to begin.  It's A Flash, Hurricane Aussie and Kayo King were slow to begin.  Augustus Dagloop and Hurricane Aussie collided soon after the start checking Hurricane Aussie.  Augustus Dagloop and Paua To Kapau collided soon after the start.  Paua To Kapau and Kayo King collided approaching the first turn checking Augustus Dagloop.  Vienna Pink and It's A Flash collided on the first turn.  Kayo King crossed to the rail on the first turn checking It's A Flash and Paua Hiking and severley checking Vienna Pink and Paua To Kapau.  Augustus Dagloop crossed to the outside entering the home straight and raced wide.  Paua Hiking and Kayo King collided in the home straight checking Kayo King.  Vienna Pink, It's A Flash and Augustus Dagloop raced wide in the home straight.

Jack's Rainbow, Sonny's Honey, Galester Hook and Sisco Swift were slow to begin.  Jack's Rainbow galloped on Machiko approaching the first turn checking Jack's Rainbow and causing Machiko to stumble and lose ground.  Machiko was checked off Sisco Swift approaching the home turn.  Jack's Rainbow and Phil Miyoot collided on the home turn.

Able Chief was a late scratching at 6.07pm due to weight variation (GAR39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer, Mrs J Chilcott was fined the sum of $100.

Barroom Counsel was quick to begin.  Destini Firebird and Amaroo Crack It collided soon after the start checking Amaroo Crack it.  Barroom Counsel, Zero Knockin' and Azurite collided approaching the first turn checking Zero Knockin'.  Azurite was checked off Maverick Blondie on the first turn.  Zero Knockin' and Azurite collided on the second turn.  Amaroo Crack It was checked off Zero Knockin' on the second turn.  Destini Firebird was checked off Amaroo Crack It on the second turn.  Barroom Counsel and Azurite collided approaching the home turn.

Careless Cookie and Amlin Prince were quick to begin.  Runnin' On Gas was slow to begin.  Stolen and Explosive Sky collided soon after the start.  Careless Cookie and Stolen collided on the first turn checking Careless Cookie.  Amlin Prince and Worthy Reab collided on the first turn severley checking Amlin Prince.  Careless Cookie was checked off Extra Cuddles on the first turn checking Explosive Sky.

Jack's Jet was a late scratching at scratching at 12:49pm due to injury. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

A pre-race sample was taken from Wagtail Kate.

Wagtail Kate, Choclotto and Jai Alai were slow to begin.  Map It Out, Le Doyen and Zelemar Doll collided approaching the first turn checking Le Doyen.  Le Doyen and Choclotto collided approaching the first turn.  Map It Out was checked off Jai Alai on the first turn severely checking Map It Out and checking Prince Nando.

A pre-race sample was taken from Brooklyn Cruiser.

Soxy, Mary's Shadow and Roll 'Em Missy collided soon after the start checking Mary's Shadow and Roll 'Em Missy.  Customized, Burnsy's Sam and Snow Gypsy collided on the first turn checking Soxy and Burnsy's Sam, Burnsy's Sam galloped on Snow Gypsy as a result severely checking Snow Gypsy which lost considerable ground.  Roll 'Em Missy and Snow Gypsy collided on the first turn checking Snow Gypsy.

Snow Gypsy was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left monkey muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Stewards noted the track was lightly harrowed on Monday 4th July, 2016. 

Following Race 3 Stewards consulted with the track manager Mr. M. Bickerdike and decided that due to the inclement weather the track would be graded every second race.
