Narralee and Bills Back were quick to begin. Caustic Bale and Mepunga Armagh were slow to begin. Zeppelin Bale, Vermont and Secret Spell collided soon after the start. Caustic Bale, Zeppelin Bale, Vermont, Secret Spell and Narralee collided approaching the first turn checking Caustic Bale, Zeppelin Bale, Vermont and Secret Spell. Vermont checked off Zeppelin Bale on the first turn checking Secret Spell. Vermont checked off Zeppelin Bale approaching the home turn. Lunar Eclipse and Secret Spell raced wide on the home turn.
A sample was taken from Bills Back, the winner of the event.
