A pre race sample was taken from Tambay Bale.
Fourth Choice was slow to begin.
Hawka Tron crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Bush Courage and Gaelic Peter. Gaelic Peter, Bush Courage, Rylee's Marshall and Minority collided approaching the first turn checking Fourth Choice and severely checking Gaelic Peter and Bush Courage causing both Gaelic Peter and Bush Courage to stumble and lose considerable ground. Rylee's Marshall checked off Minority on the first turn. Bush Courage checked off Fourth Choice on the first turn. Rylee's Marshall and Tambay Bale collided approaching the home turn. Rylee's Marshall checked off Minority entering the home straight. Gaelic Peter raced wide in the home straight.
Stewards noted that the muzzle of Fourth Choice became partially dislodged during the running of this event.
Gaelic Peter was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury.
Bush Courage was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained soreness to both shoulders. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
