Kenilworth Road was a late scratching at 9.19am due to illness. A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any furture nomination will be accepted. 

Baby's Rattle was quick to begin.  Tiger Cub was slow to begin.  Baby's Rattle and Our Black Gem collided soon after the start.  Baby's Rattle and Early Violet collided on the first turn.  Our Black Gem and Champagne Belle collided on the first turn.  Champagne Belle and Tiger Cub collided several times from the first turn until the second turn.  Furious Barb and Early Violet collided on the second turn, checking Furious Barb.  Champagne Belle raced wide in the back straight.  Our Black Gem galloped on the heels of Baby's Rattle on the third turn and again approaching the home turn, checking both greyhounds.  Furious Barb and Early Violet collided on the home turn.

Baby's Rattle was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left triangle, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

City Rambler was a late scratching at 5.57pm on the advice of the club's veterinary surgeon due to grazes to the left toe.  A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Daliya Bale was slow to begin.  Sir Pendelbury crossed to the rail approaching the first turn, checking Daisy Bale, Dr. Lachie and Dr. Brandon.  Eaton Bale checked off Gandolf Bale approaching the first turn.  Daisy Bale and Daliya Bale collided on the first turn.  Dr. Lachie raced wide on the first turn.  Eaton Bale checked off Daliya Bale approaching the second turn.  Daliya Bale checked off Daisy Bale entering the back straight, checking Daisy Bale.  Eaton Bale checked off Daisy Bale in the back straight.  Daisy Bale checked off Daliya Bale on the third turn.  Eaton Bale and Daliya Bale collided on the home turn.

Gitcha Rich was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left shoulder, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Tilly's Tempa was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured right chest, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.

Dr. Brownie went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (6 lengths).  Bubble Head and Fatboy Norm was slow to begin.  Why Not Franklin and Riley's Charm collided soon after the start.  Dr. Leonardo, Top Load, Why Not Franklin and Riley's Charm collided on the first turn, checking Dr. Leonardo and Top Load, causing Riley's Charm to fall as a result.  Dr. Leonardo and Top Load collided several times approaching the second turn, causing Dr. Brownie to race wide as a result.

Mr J Clay, trainer of Peggy Sable redeclared a new weight of 25.8kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR39(2). Peggy Sable last raced at 27.0kgs.

Dorian Bale was a late scratching at 6.11pm by Order Of Stewards after the incorrect greyhound was presented at kennelling. Stewards took evidence from Mr Shillington the handler of the greyhound and adjourned an inquiry until a date to be fixed, at which time Stewards will question the trainer Ms N. Davis with regards to the matter.
