A pre-race sample was taken from West Mae.
Urban Rock Star and Bound For Vegas collided soon after the start. Urban Rock Star, Bound For Vegas and Baroness Molly collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Bound For Vegas. West Mae and Starbright Girl collided approaching the home turn checking Starbright Girl and Lita's Lad. Judy's My Name and Baroness Molly collided on the home turn checking both greyhounds. West Mae and Urban Rock Star raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight.
Starbright Girl was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right shoulder. A 10 day stand down period was imposed.
