Stress Star was slow to begin. Altesse, Daintree Teacake and Spiral Bek collided approaching the first turn checking Altesse and Daintree Teacake. Daintree Teacake and Spiral Bek collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Alejandro and Satin Ice collided approaching the home turn checking Alejandro and Bob On. Altesse and Baby Blitzen collided approaching the home turn checking Baby Blitzen and Daintree Teacake. Altesse and Spiral Bek raced wide on the home turn.
Spiral Bek was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to its right triangle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Ms. J. Walker, the handler of the greyhound Daintree Teacake and issued a warning regarding it's box manners.
