Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Good Odds Sammy upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Argyle Diamond was quick to begin. Ninetymile Bill and Despicable Jazz were slow to begin and collided soon after the start. Ninetymile Bill and Despicable Jazz collided several times from approaching the first turn to the first turn. Admiral Bay and Tranquil Midge collided approaching the home turn checking Admiral Bay. Howth and Jellybean Jess collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight checking Jellybean Jess and severely checking Howth; Howth raced wide as a result.

Re-Vetted Greyhound
Crackerjack Roy was presented for a re-vet at the conclusion of kennelling and was cleared to race. Acting under GAR83, Stewards directed that a urine sample be taken from the greyhound.
Satisfactory Trial Results
Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Barbara, the trainer of Liquid Diamond regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Liquid Diamond last raced on 14th December 2015. Mr. Barbara stated that the greyhound was returning to race after the removal of a dew claw and a broken toe. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Liquid Diamond trialled over the 400 metre distance from box 1, weight 25.9kgs. The greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.93. The greyhound was won by a margin of 1.75 lengths. Liquid Diamond was cleared.
Merinda Hannah trialled over the 400 metre distance from box 5, weight 22.9kgs. The greyhound was placed 3rd, in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.93. The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 6 lengths. Merinda Hannah was cleared.
Spring Velox trialled over the 400 metre distance from box 8, weight 25.5kgs. The greyhound was placed 2nd, in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 22.93. The greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1.75 lengths. Spring Velox was cleared.
