A pre-race sample was taken from Chief Mingo.
Clovally Mansumi checked off Hell On Wheels soon after the start. Chief Mingo, Hetalia Bale and Archie Ninkasi collided approaching the first turn. Gunmetal Diva crossed to the rail on the first turn, checking Clovally Mansumi, severely checking Archie Ninbkasi, Roll 'Em Maggie and Hetalia Bale, which fell. Hell On Wheels and Clovally Mansumi collided approaching the home turn. Hell On Wheels raced wide in the home straight.
Hetalia Bale was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained lacerations to the left and right fore metacarpal regions, and abrasions to the right elbow, a ten day stand down period was imposed.
