Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Cowrie.
Dr. Sherlock was quick to begin. Lethal Spider, Cowrie, Swan's Waddle and Walmac were slow to begin. He's Panicken, Walmac and Swan's Waddle collided soon after the start checking Walmac. Cowrie was checked off He's Panicken on the first turn. Lethal Spider and He's Panicken collided approaching the home turn. He's Panicken and Joni Sunset collided on the home turn.
Meeting comments:-
Stewards were advised that the track was lightly harrowed on Thursday the 23rd of June 2016.
Satisfactory trial (GAR 77A):- Stewards spoke to Mr. R. Cunneen the trainer of Soda Lad regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Soda Lad last raced on 13/12/16. Mr. Cunneen stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a right hock injury. Pursuant to GAR 77A Soda Lad trialled over 315 metres from box 1, weight 32.2kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 18.17 sec, the greyhound won by a margin of 6.25 lengths. Soda Lad was cleared.
