Steward's Report
Saturday Sip was quick to begin. Lakeview Miss and Toshulan collided soon after the start. Toshulan and Magic Rama collided approaching the first turn. Lakeview Miss and Heston Lodge collided on the first turn. Heston Lodge and Magic Rama collided on the first turn. Saturday Sip eased and crossed to the outside on the first turn.
Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Galea the trainer of the greyhound Saturday Sip regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the first turn. Saturday Sip was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained minor spike wounds to both hind legs, no stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1) Stewards charged Saturday Sip with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment by reason of injury. Mr. Galea pleaded guilty to the charge, Saturday Sip was found guilty and Stewards directed that the greyhound perform a satisfactory trial all tracks pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
