Steward's Report
Allen Jeer, Fly As One, Cosmic Pauly and Memphis Jookin' collided soon after the start checking Fly As One and Cosmic Pauly. Memphis Jookin' checked off Fly As One on the first turn. Belena Prince eased on the first turn.
Stewards spoke to Mr. N. Partridge, the trainer of the greyhound Belena Prince regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the first turn. Belena Prince was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the left chest muscle and left back muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Belena Prince with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Partridge pleaded not guilty to the charge, Belena Prince was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
