Steward's Report
Cincinnati Lass and Lightning Lil were slow to begin. Golden Dreams and Arvo's Nico collided on the first turn. Cincinnati Lass checked off Golden Dreams on the first turn. Cincinnati Lass checked off Arvo's Nico approaching the home turn. Arvo's Nico and Cincinnati Lass collided on the home turn. Cincinnati Lass eased in the home straight severely checking Golden Dreams.
Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Paez, the trainer of the greyhound Cincinnati Lass regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight. Cincinnati Lass was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a spike wound to its right achillies. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Cincinnati Lass with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Paez pleaded guilty to the charge. Cincinnati Lass was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
