Stewards spoke to Mr. H. Theodorakopoulos, the trainer of Mr. Late regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Mr. Late last raced on 16/9/16. Mr. Theodorakopoulos stated that  the greyhound was returning from a hip injury.

Chabay Laray was quick to begin. All Inn Emma and Mr. Late were slow to begin. Destructacon and All Inn Kayla collided approaching the first turn checking Destructacon. Destructacon and Mr. Late collided several times on the first turn checking Mr. Late. All Inn Kayla, Cullquin Frank and Chabay Laray collided approaching the home turn checking Cullquin Frank and Chabay Laray. Chabay Laray and Go Close collided on the home turn checking Go Close. All Inn Kayla crossed to the inside on the home turn and collided with All Inn Emma entering the home straight. All Inn Emma and All Inn Kayla collided approaching the winning post.

Panders Box was a late scratching at 2:33pm due to weight variation (GAR39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mrs. P. Patterson was fined the sum of $100.

Lloyd Christmas was slow to begin. Coo Coo Coconuts and Fruit Spice collided approaching the home turn. Road Driller brushed the running rail approaching the home turn. Coo Coo Coconuts crossed to the rail entering the home straight checking Road Driller.

Our Kippy was slow to begin. Bekele crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Fancy Bounce, Violet Blue and Manx Czar. Manx Czar, Daintree Alice, Fancy Bounce and Violet Blue collided entering the back straight checking Manx Czar, Daintree Alice and Fancy Bounce. Daintree Alice checked off Manx Czar in the back straight. Manx Czar and Fancy Bounce collided on the second turn. Daintree Alice and Our Kippy collided approaching the home turn. Violet Blue and Bekele collided on the home turn and entering the home straight. Our Kippy and Atta Flash collided on the home turn. Manx Czar raced wide in the home straight. Violet Blue eased in the home straight and collided with Bekele. Bekele and Atta Flash collided approaching the winning post.

Stewards spoke to Mr. C. Newman, the trainer of the greyhound Violet Blue regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Violet Blue  was vetted and re-vetted following race 5.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right groin, a 5 day stand down period was imposed.  Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Violet Blue with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Newman pleaded guilty to the charge, Violet Blue was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a),  before any future nomination will be accepted.

Time Sent was slow to begin. Penultimate and Mum's Gem collided soon after the start. Destini Surfer and Big Bold Boomer collided approaching the first turn checking Big Bold Boomer. Big Bold Boomer and Time Sent collided approaching the second turn. Time Sent checked off Destini Surfer approaching the winning post.

Highfield La La and Elusive Pearl were quick to begin. Remember Train, Billiluna and Ebony Eclipse were slow to begin. Highfield La La, Molly Chapta and Gotcha Rockin' collided on the first turn checking Molly Chapta. Highfield La La and Molly Chapta collided on the second turn checking Highfield La La. Remember Train, Gotcha Rockin' and Billiluna collided on the second turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr. A. Bishop, the trainer of Ceejay Whim regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Ceejay Whim last raced on 29/2/16. Mr. Bishop stated that the greyhound was returning from a back muscle injury.

Jeramiah Jack was quick to begin. Uno Perry was slow to begin. Delta Miss and Mud Kipper collided soon after the start. Mud Kipper crossed to the outside on the first turn checking Uno Perry. Cullquin Peachy and Pelli collided on the first turn. Cullquin Peachy and Hotlips Matilda collided on the second the turn. Mud Kipper and Delta Miss collided on the third turn. Mud Kipper and Uno Perry collided on the home turn checking Mud Kipper. Ceejay Whim and Uno Perry collided in the home straight.

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Mitchell, the trainer of Hell Blazin' regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Hell Blazin' last raced on 24/3/16. Mr. Mitchell stated that the greyhound was returning from being on season. 

Latte Donny, Cheers Bryan and Shifty Lilly were slow to begin. Swift Jaraig and Mum Said No collided approaching the first turn. Swift Jaraig and Latte Donny collided on the first turn checking Latte Donny. Shifty Lilly raced wide in the home straight.

Mr. E. Hamilton, trainer of Cindy's Zafonic declared a new weight of 30.7kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Cindy's Zafonic last raced at 29.3kg.

Kim Kardash crossed to the rail soon after the start checking Iron Anda. Lily Latief and Dame Oregano collided on the first turn checking Lily Latief. La Flair and Calen collided on the first turn. Lily Latief and La Flair collided entering the back straight. Shayley's Comet and Lily Latief collided in the back straight checking Lily Latief. La Flair and Lily Latief collided on the second turn and again approaching the home turn. Lily Latief checked off La Flair on the home turn. Cindy's Zafonic checked off Iron Anda in the home straight.

Frame History and Von Schnitzel collided approaching the first turn. Von Schnitzel and Dodge Ball collided on the first turn. Jarvis Bay and Weowna Jet collided on the first turn. Cullquin Rocky crossed to the outside on the home turn checking Frame History and Von Schnitzel.

Mister Nudge was a late scratching at 15:02 due to non arrival (GAR 31). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. J. Quagliaro was fined the sum of $100.

Stewards spoke to Mr. D. Pell, the trainer of Barney Bubble regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Barney Bubble last raced on 11/3/16. Mr. Pell stated that the greyhound was returning from a right hock injury.

Murrabit Yap, Swift Bunny, All Inn April, Bramha's Pride, Barney Bubble, Avatar Storm and Toss collided on the first turn severely checking Avatar Storm and Toss. Bramha's Pride, All Inn April and Barney Bubble collided approaching the home turn. Bramha's Pride and All Inn April collided on the home turn. Avatar Storm was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Miss Lumens and Spritely Julia were slow to begin. With A Whisper, Heartbreak Mary and Penny Pitstop collided soon after the start. With A Whisper, Heartbreak Mary, Penny Pitstop and Like A Bailey collided approaching the first turn checking Heartbreak Mary.  With A Whisper, Heartbreak Mary, Penny Pitstop and Like A Bailey collided on the first turn checking Heartbreak Mary, Miss Lumens, Penny Pitstop and With A Whisper. Baron Bob checked off Wilbur approaching the home turn checking Baron Bob and Like A Bailey and severely checking Heartbreak Mary. With A Whisper and Spritely Julia collided on the home turn and entering the home straight.

Baron Bob was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Treatty trialled over the 425mt from box 1, weight 34.4kg, the greyhound pulled up in the home straight in a field of 4. The time of the trial was 24.58, the greyhound  Treatty was Not Cleared. Treatty was vetted following the trial it was reported that the greyhound sustained a left groin injury and a stand down period of 7 days was imposed.
