Steward's Report
A pre–race urine sample was taken from Smooth Ranger.
Smooth Ranger was quick to begin. May So Dreaming and Miles Apart were slow to begin.
May So Dreaming (lost ground shortly after the start) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right thigh and right triangle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. Darrel Saunders regarding the racing manners of May So Dreaming turning into the home straight shortly after the start. After hearing submissions from Mr. Saunders, viewing the available race footage and having their own observations, Stewards took no further action.
