Stewards closed kennelling at 4.45pm after Trainer - Mr. G. McRae contacted Stewards to advise that he had a mechanical breakdown and had organised another licensed person to transport his greyhounds to the track..
Steeple - New declared weight of 31.9kgs, last raced at Geelong on 7 February, 2025 at 30.7kg.
Paw Kiplin was quick to begin. Told You Tim was slow to begin.
Paw Felicity (severely checked and fell turning into the home straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right radius/ulna fracture. Paw Felicity was humanely euthanised.
Belfast Rocky (severely checked and fell turning out of the back straight) underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Following the running of this event, Stewards inspected the track and were satisfied it was suitable for racing.
